Health and Wellness
Stretching and Strengthening Body, Mind and Spirit
Wellness is no longer seen as the absence of disease. While we're grateful for the advances of modern medicine and it's availability, more than ever there is a greater focus on prevention and strengthening of our bodies natural immune function to reduce our need for intervention. And we're more aware that it incorporates more than our bodies.
The Body-Mind Connection
More and more, we are learning about the connection between our emotional and mental states and our health, and beginning to understand that there is not the separation between body and mind as once thought. Your overall health is impacted by many, many factors...probably more than we realize.
The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study has found a direct correlation between childhood trauma and negative consequences later in life.
What is the ACE Study?
The ACE Study is an ongoing collaboration between the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Kaiser Permanente. Led by Co-principal Investigators Robert F. Anda, MD, MS, and Vincent J. Felitti, MD, the ACE Study is perhaps the largest scientific research study of its kind, analyzing the relationship between multiple categories of childhood trauma (ACEs), and health and behavioral outcomes later in life.
This knowledge of the ACE Study confirms the importance of finding peace about the things that impacted you or still concerns you, in addition to supporting the behaviors of a healthy lifestyle. A holistic approach, where we address all aspects of our body and mind, is key to strengthen our natural immune function and assist in achieving balance and greater health.

Resistance Flexibility and Strength Training (RFST)
Our busy schedules often leave us little time to take care of our bodies. Even if we have the time, the thought of exercise doesn't exactly thrill everyone. What if there was a way to incorporate, in just a few minutes, something that you could do throughout your day that left you energized, released tension, and elevated your mood...and that was legal and easy to do? This brilliant system, does just that.
Developed by Bob Cooley after attempting to rehabilitate his body after being hit by a car at 40mph, these exercises have been used by professional and Olympic athletes, with especially good results with serious injury. For those who are looking to add healthy movement into daily activities, there are simple strategies and moves that you can do whether at your desk, waiting in line or in the car (at stop lights of course).

Personal Health Strategies
Generalizing on our food consumption is actually dangerous for our health! It's in our digestion process that's critical in determining not only our general health but also how well our brain functions.
From your Human Design chart, we can identify some of your body's specific needs such as whether it's more important to consider the types of food you take in or if it's the environment and how you take foods in. Through an understanding of 'Eating Right for Your Type' by Dr Peter J. D'Adamo, along with particular details found in your chart, guidance and suggestions are offered for you to work with to experiment with your intake of foods. Like anything that correctly addresses foundational issues, results can often be dramatic.
