Human Design: Where do I begin?
It's not uncommon for this knowledge to feel like another language and to find yourself quickly overwhelmed by it all.
That's why you need a guide. :)
This site is a way for you to navigate a bit into the knowledge to see what resonates with you, if anything. As a 1/3, my personality is a researcher and my design assures me that I'll always be discovering what works and what doesn't, through my own trial and error process. Ultimately I'm looking for a solid foundation. I've scoured the internet and have found lots of great info and links and I've learned a lot in the years since I was introduced to Design. Of course you can google Human Design System and dig around yourself. I'm developing this site a bit at a time, so check back regularly for updates.
From my perspective, and as a friend reminds me, that's all there is...there's three main components of this knowledge.
- Learning about yourself and living your unique nature.
- Learning about the dynamics between you and others in relationships.
- Learning about the greater workings of our universe.
The first two tend to impact our lives in a very practical and positive way. The third may be interesting for those who want to understand how the dots are connected. While we can't necessarily prove anything, the first two have been validated as pretty accurate, if not uncanny. With that said, the rest you can do with what you like, including nothing.
Most importantly, it's about it's practicality in our everyday life.
Get Your Free Chart
To get your free chart and find out your type and strategy...go to http://www.jovianarchive.com/newcomers/, then click on Continue and you'll be prompted to enter your birth information.
Download the Software and Run Your Own Charts
If you're intrigued and want to get charts for friends and family, you can download the software to your own computer to run your own charts!
When installing the Free Edition of MMI2 for the first time, users are granted an evaluation license which will allow them to use and experience all of the features contained in the Professional Edition of MMI2 for seven days. Once the evaluation period is over these features will be blocked and the application will only offer the core functionality associated with an unlicensed free edition. Download here.
Most importantly...Living it.
Your first step after getting your chart run is a foundational reading. After that, either attending a Living Your Design Workshop or being coached by a Living Your Design Guide or Analyst is recommended.
Follow Your Strategy and Honor Your Inner Authority. If you spend any time with this knowledge, you will hear this ad nauseam. Yet, it's the most important thing...to experiment with your strategy and decision making process. Because of the conditioning that we all experience, we've become disassociated with our own nature, so initially to our minds, it feels like torture. Yet if you were to look back at your successes, these strategies would stand out as consistent patterns. Our strategy then, would be our natural state. We're suggesting that you 'fake it until you make it'. In a way, in order to remember our natural state, we have to consciously choose to experiment with the process to see whether it is, in fact, true. So remember...
How long will it take to see changes?
Well, for most, there will be an immediate resonance and life will be experienced with greater ease if you stay with it. For everyone however, there will be challenges in how the mind will try to take us back to our old patterns. Being aware of these traps will allow us to have compassion for ourselves and over time create new patterns of behavior that are aligned with our true selves. Additionally for everyone, it's a 7 year process to decondition as it takes the body 7 years to complete it's full cellular replacement. This cannot be rushed as it's a biological transformation. While it's not necessarily comfortable in the beginning, it's truly worth the price of admission.
Learning it.
Informally...LOTS of books and audio's are available from multiple sources. See the HD Links page for access to the materials. I would recommend starting with the basics of Type and Strategy materials along with the Living Your Design Manual.
Formally...In the event you feel it's right to pursue a professional education in Design, it's a minimum of a 3.5 year process, but if you get hooked, it's probably a lifetime. Begin with your foundational reading and attend a Living Your Design Workshop. Next is the Rave ABC's Class and Rave Cartography. After that, there's classes you can attend online at the Biversity, as well as beginning your formal analyst training with a certified teacher. The range of studies are vast and deep.
